The beach and Poet’s House
Torre dei Corsari is a spectacular south Sardinia beach backed by dunes and beautiful spot for sunset.
Placed just half an hour’s drive from our B&B, Torre de Corsari takes its name from the Flumentorgiu tower, which was built by the Spanish in the 17th century as a defense from pirates.
Once in this paradisiacal sunny spot, you can admire the point where Torre dei Corsari joins the beach of Pistis and appreciate the stunning view of the dunes in contrast with the lush vegetation.
Torre dei Corsari is a beach ideal for both young people and families and you can hire a canoe to get a closer look at the basalt cliff reef under the great tower.
The sand of this beautiful Sardinia beach is golden and characterized by medium-grained sand.
If you fancy a walk, a 20-minute stroll across the dunes gives you a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding area.
On your sunset drive home from Torre de Corsari, the Casa del Poeta (Poet’s House) is a must-see. This enchanting dwelling is constructed from juniper branches woven around the canopy of a tree to form low walls. Time it right and from here you can see a breath-taking sunset.
